What Happens At Book Club?
- We talk about books, the very best books we can get our hands on.
- We set as a goal reading one book per month.
- Each member family will pick one book a year and the mom will "mentor" a discussion of that book for the first 1/2 hour we meet.
- After that, we'll discuss the book on our own.
- We listen patiently, talk confidently, and do not interrupt one another.
- The second hour and beyond will be spent having fun. This could mean:
- Playing board games
- Doing Improv or Skits
- Playing charades
- Seeing a movie of the book
- Staring at one another awkwardly until someone cracks up.
- Snacks. So. Many. Snacks.
